Wireless Edge Sensor and Event Monitoring is Fast, Accurate and Inexpensive using RFID Technologies
Wireless Remote Sensors leverage RFID to provide an inexpensive distributed network that alerts of tampering,
smoke, fire, temperature, vibration, radiation, etc. Used for expensive or sensitive/secure product shipments, pipelines, refrigerated/frozen
areas, smoke/fire detection and alerting, radiation detection and many other areas
Edge Sensor and Event Monitoring solutions provide
real-time feedback, data and knowledge of what is occurring in
the physical world real-time so decisions can be made as needed.
Our RFID solutions have a plug and play infrastructure that supports
up to 6 sensors on each RFID tag. Manufacturing custom batches
of RFID tags with sensors is easily accomplished for rapidly deployed
solutions.
Environmental Monitoring Sensors measure temperature,
shock, movement, light, humidity, etc. Used for security when
attached to an expensive asset to instantly alert when moved.
The movement sensor can also trigger the RFID beacon, which extends
the battery life, and ensures that the tag is tracked only when
moving. Temp and humidity sensor tags can be embedded in perishable
shipments and can actually track changes in conditions during
transit, or at any time while enabled. Shock sensors can alert
and record time and repetition of certain violent movements (measured
in G's) to track when a shipment was damaged in transit to assign
fault.
Safety Monitoring Stay out zones in manufacturing,
staff access, hazard identification. Distance can be measured
to alert when a child is out of the play area. Signals can be
coupled to indicate when an unauthorized person is approaching
a secure location. Trigger cameras and alerts by zone. Automatically
unlock doors hands-free as employees approach secure areas. We
couple the power of zone-based and sensor-based RFID to your existing
applications for value-added automatic capabilities.
Activity Monitoring Managing the product lifecycle
by installing sensor-based RFID onto products, tools and conveyances
in the supply-chain to monitor throughput in your manufacturing
plant. Use RFID-based sensors in the manufacturing process to
alert to possible shock, heat, radiation damage to products prior
to final assembly.
eChain uses a unique approach to maximize your RFID and network investments by using existing readers, triggers and active devices as
sensors significantly lowering your cost of information "at the edge"
