  • I am responsible for installation, implementation, configuration and support of Microsoft GP and Wennsoft Job Costing, including data migration, custom development, solution design and configuration and documentation for Dynamics GP financial modules and Wennsoft Job Costing and Timetrack time card package. I developed improved business and accounting procedures and procedures to improve efficiencies and productivity. I trained all accounting personnel (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting and payroll) on new procedures.  I designed and trained the controller on new month end closing procedures using completed project accounting methods.  I designed and created several custom reports using SSRS for both Dynamics GP and Wennsoft Job costing.
  • I performed several system upgrades to Dynamics GP 10. I implemented FRx software in a multi-company multi- currency environment including consolidating and consolidated P&Ls for a publicly-traded international corporation.

  • I was the lead consultant for numerous Microsoft Dynamics GP clients using financial and distribution modules. Client industries included insurance, distribution, manufacturing, high-tech and service companies. 
  • I performed several system upgrades from legacy versions to Dynamics GP 10.
  • I designed and created a custom report using Crystal Reports that saving the company money by identifying low margin product sales prior to shipping. 
  • I created a daily sales integration into Dynamics GP from a web site that saved the company many hours rekeying invoice information.

  • I am responsible for project management of implementation of Microsoft Dynamics SL, including all financial, project controller and Business Portal modules. My clients included a large advertising conglomerate with office throughout the country.  I managed all aspects  of the project including scheduling of staff, communication with client and follow up to ensure client satisfaction.
  • I designed and created custom report and process specifications to that replaced time consuming manual Excel reports. I worked with a client to design and develop a custom integration from their internal customer portal into Accounts Receivable modules for invoicing and cash application. I managed the training of all client personnel for managing and recording labor transactions, accounts payables and month end closing. I worked with controller and higher to redesign month end financial reporting packages distributed to corporate directors and above.  
  • I managed the company technical support process by properly allocating the issues to the appropriate staff and followed up to ensure prompt response  

 

Independent Consultant                                                                       March 2005 – May 2005

 

I was responsible for the design, configuration and implementation of the Project Controller modules for a large company that installed and supported fire and security systems for large retailers throughout the country in Phoenix, AZ.  Upon performing a business process review, I found a functional software gap with their internal revenue recognition accounting rules. I created the functional design specification to create a custom solution to automatically record earned revenue and expenses. I worked with another outside consultant on the design and implementation on the Microsoft Project integration into accounting software to create new and monitor current projects. I designed and trained all personnel on revised accounting  procedures for the job cost accounting.

 

Controller                                                                                        January 2002 – March 2005

Discovertec, Inc, Jacksonville, FL

 

  • I was responsible for all accounting, financial and cash management duties for a technical service and supply company.
  • I designed and implemented perpetual inventory procedures, invoicing systems and job cost procedures for construction division for local home builder using Microsoft Dynamics SL software.

·         I designed and implemented labor recording procedures for all direct personnel to better capture labor expenses. 

  • I supervised of accounts receivable, payable, payroll and HR personnel.
  • I created all month end financial reporting to key management
  • I was responsible for implementing Paychex payroll services with integration into Solomon.

  • Responsible for the project management, implementation and support of Microsoft Solomon for a medium sized CPA firm.
  • I managed a project for a large cable installation sub contractor involving a custom piece- work based timecard system and invoicing system.   This involved working with Microsoft to design custom applications for time entry, and integrations to and from ADP for new employee data and then export timecard data to ADP for payroll purposes. I created all custom reports in Crystal Reports. I worked with client on user training including user manuals. This solution was distributed to approximately 2000 employees in 14 states.
  • I worked with other clients on software upgrades.
  • I performed potential customer demonstrations.

  • Implemented Solomon Software for all financial modules for a medium sized manufacturer.  I converted prior financial data. I created the revised chart of accounts to conform to SL structure. I created all internal and external financial reports. I trained all accounting personnel on new software
  • I supervised 3 accounts payable clerks and a staff accountant.
  •  Performed all month-end closing and issued all financial statements.
  •  I was responsible for the consolidation and translation  of a Taiwanese subsidiary
