Systems Applications Programmer

Responsible for developing custom applications that met the e-commerce trading platforms specifications outlined by our company’s marketing strategy.  These e-commerce trading platforms were generic in form so as to be easily integrated into a customer’s existing business or adapted to have the appearance of the customers’ original sites.  Systems integration involved real time inventory management, user management, and order processing.  Mass uploading and custom data transfer tools were developed to help facilitate customer integration.  The various web platforms that were used were Java, Cold Fusion, and ASP.  XML was used as the main communication protocol in one of the major application I helped create.  For the backend databases, Microsoft SQL server and Oracle were implemented.  Microsoft Message Queuing and IBM’s MQ-Series were implemented as messaging services to facilitate and track the real-time transactions.
