eChain Technology was selected to design and build a custom RFID Real-Time Locating Solution (RTLS) by a Private Healthcare Asset Manufacturer. This client-company was interested in quickly developing an Active RFID solution to track medical assets throughout a hospital or healthcare facility, provide real-time inventory and movement visibility, and alerts. eChain designed a solution that used emerging technologies provided by Microsoft to meet the customer's rapid time to market requirement. eChain worked on behalf of customer with Microsoft as the sole Active RFID Technology Adoption Partner (TAP) for BizTalk RFID R2 to lead the needs assessment (BNA) and solution design for an Active RFID asset-management and tracking solution for medical asset tracking and alerts. We selected a key implementation partner and drove development of SharePoint-based Healthcare Asset Management solution using revolutionary active RFID/IR and BizTalk RFID. We developed and demonstrated the prototype solution to Microsoft Executives and key decision makers 5 months after the beginning of the project.

Using SharePoint, we were able to design a solution that met all Stone Solutions' requirements and provided a flexible platform that quickly and easily supports future addition of capabilities.

eChain partnered with Perot Systems and Cerberus Capital to lead a Strategic Operational Assessment (SOA) engagement at Global Motorsport Group. The SOA successfully uncovered the root cause and provided specific recommendations for the correction of key operational challenges. The engagement involved review of JD Edwards capabilities and configuration, forecast model selection and accuracy and inventory policy. Execution on key recommendations would result in significant operational improvement in 6 months. Global Motorsport Group, Inc., formerly known as Custom Crome Inc., designs manufactures, markets and distributes after market parts and accessories. The company is the largest independent supplier of aftermarket parts and accessories for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The company distributes its own products under the brand names RevTech, Premium, Dyno Power and other products of recognised manufacturers, which include as Dunlop, Champion, Hastings and Accel. The company distributes replacement parts, custom parts, accessories and apparels. The company offers 15,000 products to approximately 4,700 dealers. Because of our background and experience with i2 Technologies products, eChain was requested to participate as an independent expert in an i2 TMS proof of concept to implement i2 Transportation Manager on Schneider systems and run global scenarios to quantify a purchase decision by Schneider. eChain provided implementation support and subject matter expert (SME) support for global logistics capabilities and solution fit of i2 TM/TO 6.2 into Schneider's IT environment. This engagement included a deep dive on i2 TM version 6.2 capabilities and fit to Schneider business needs and i2 implementation challenges on IBM Web Sphere, and DB2 environment using BI Adapters, MQ Series, CIS compatibility and J2EE.

eChain Technology provided UPS Supply-Chain Solutions with Enterprise Architect and implementation support for 3PL Logistics offering supporting multiple customer implementations and migrations. eChain associates adopted extensive use of clients Rational Unified Process (RUP) and UML methodology to capture and document requirements, capabilities, rules and architecture for multiple (often parallel) client implementations and existing customer solution migrations to TM/TO version 6.1.2. This engagement leveraged Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, Access, XML, SAP IDoc, and flat file integrations. These projects utilized a rigid and full software development life cycle (SDLC) approach with formalized risk mitigation and periodic reviews. eChain also led project(s) to migrate seven existing production TMS customers from earlier TMS platforms (4.2.2 and 5.0) to new baseline solution. We adopted an extremely hands-on role in assisting in solution design, integration, configuration, testing, QA and go-live support for UPS-SCS projects.

eChain project at FedEx involved solution design and development for FedEx strategic marketing advanced analytics application. eChain led the design, development and delivery of a web-based Market Research advanced analytics application. This engagement involved working with a 3rd party development group, Tier 1 Performance, building to our specifications and assuring final QA and acceptance by FedEx. The solution incorporats SPSS into a custom, secured intranet web-based ASP infrastructure for indexed and ranked market research, surveys and globally-culled strategic marketing content into a SQL Server Relational database incorporating a matrix security schema to secure content. The solution also incorporated an EIS front-end dashboard for ad-hoc reporting.

Phillips Semiconductor was an emergency troubled/challenged account turnaround and solution design role eChain supported for Vizional Technologies. The project was to finalize and deliver a semiconductor demand pegging supplier collaboration solution that was at-risk at phase 1 go-live when the entire Vizional design and project team departed the engagement. The engagement included design and engagement management for a distributed advanced allocation pegging algorithm upgrade (functional specification) for an existing web-based supply collaboration solution. The engagement was based in Eindhoven, NL, and at the vendor site, Vizional Technologies in California. eChain was able to save the phase 1 go-live and design the phase 2 solution enhancement.
